Election 2006 Results
It is with great joy and pride that I announce the result
of the 2006-BPPA elections.
Pride, that BPPA elections were held independently, transparently
and with unparalleled smoothness.
Joy, because we are handing over reins of this responsibility
to a group of friends and BPPA members who have attained
the democratic confidence and mandate of its members.
It is time to persevere in our unity and work with our new
leaders and give them our fullest support. These positions
were contested with dignity. There was minimal difference
for some post(s). A detailed presentation would be given
to you all at the AGM about this election.
Mateen and I, on behalf of the outgoing executive and all
BPPA members, congratulate new office bearers, who will
take charge at the end of the AGM on 25th November 2006,
in Birmingham.
Here is the result:
Chair (elect): Dr Hasan Jawed
Secretary (elect): Dr M Suhail A Qureshi
Treasurer (elect): Dr Farida Yousuf
May you succeed where we failed and may you make our association
stronger in harmony.
with best wishes
